Following an appeal by the Colombian singer, Spain’s High Court has acquitted her of tax fraud relating to the 2011 tax year. According to Reuters, the judge has overturned the 55 million euro ($64 million/£48 million) fine imposed on Shakira in 2021 by the Spanish tax agency. The court also ordered the country’s Treasury to reimburse the Hips Don’t Lie hitmaker with over 60 million euros ($70 million/£52 million), including interest.
