The 55-year-old woman, who had lived for many years in the nearby village of El Valle, was showing a property on Calle Santísima Trinidad in the village of Chite on Friday morning when she fell through the opening of an attic, dropping around two metres. The exact circumstances of how she came to fall have not been revealed.
Emergency services received the call at 11am and immediately dispatched a medical helicopter, the Guardia Civil and the fire department to the scene. The woman was airlifted to the 112 helipad and transferred by ambulance to the Neurotraumatology Hospital at the Virgen de las Nieves complex in Granada, where she died from her injuries over the weekend.
Municipal sources confirmed her death and described her as a well-liked member of the local community who had spent many years in El Valle. She specialised in property sales in the area, working particularly with foreign buyers and expats looking to settle in Granada.
